Stewardship of Serving Commitment Weekend

05-20-2018Weekly ReflectionFr. Francisco “Bing” Colasito

Pentecost celebrates the gift of the Holy Spirit, the Paraclete, the Advocate to the Apostles. The power of the Spirit was given to them so they could boldly carry out the mission Jesus gave them before his crucifixion, death, and resurrection. The mission to bring the Word of God and its saving grace to all corners of the earth. The verses following our first reading from Acts of the Apostles tells us that over 3000 persons joined the Church and its mission that day.

Today, we ask you to act, as the apostles and the converted did over two thousand years ago, and commit to serve the Church in ministry. We have included the Stewardship of Serving Commitment form in this bulletin and there are extra copies in the narthex. Please complete the form and drop it off at the office or in the collection basket. If you have any questions about the various opportunities to serve; most ministries will be represented outside after Mass in our Ministry Fair.

P.S. There will be free donuts outside too.

He Is Risen. Alleluia!
