Caring Ministries

Caregivers Support

Many of us care for someone with chronic or acute illness, age related debility or other situations. We have questions about our role as caregivers, resources or how to care for ourselves while caring for a loved one. The Caregivers Support group provides a safe caring environment to explore these issues with others in the same situation. This group meets the third Tuesday of each month.

Martha's Circle

Members of Martha’s Circle Funeral Ministry support and provide guidance regarding funeral preparation and selection of readings. Martha's Circle supports the family of the deceased during the funeral service by being on-hand to greet family and friends, give out liturgy aids and assist with placement of flowers and/or mementos. This ministry will also provide a luncheon reception after the funeral liturgy if requested to do so.

Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministers are members of our Parish who receive
special training to administer one-to-one Christian care to people in our congregation and community. Ministers provide confidential care to people experiencing a difficult time in life, such as grief, divorce, hospitalization, disability, job loss, chronic or terminal illness and many other life difficulties.

Stephen Ministers meet with their assigned care receiver once per week and attend two one-hour meetings per month with other Stephen Ministers to review their care-giving progress.
